The World Health Organization (WHO) recognises AMR as one of the top ten global health threats. Since 2015, the Infection Control Branch (ICB) of the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) has been participating in the World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) from 18 to 24 November every year to raise local awareness of AMR and to promote the proper use of antibiotics.

For the WAAW this year, the CHP will launch a thematic webpage on the CHP website, a series of posts on the CHP Facebook page, and a wide range of publicity materials across various social media platforms and public transport.

For more details on AMR, please refer to the AMR thematic webpage.
