On 13 June 2024, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, in collaboration with other government departments, held a public health exercise code-named "Kyanite" to test their preparedness in handling an imported case of measles, with a view to enhancing awareness among stakeholders on the handling of public health emergencies.  

On 27 November 2024, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, in collaboration with other government departments, held a public health exercise code-named "Amazonite" to test their preparedness in handling a human case of avian influenza infection, and to strengthen the execution and co-ordination abilities of the Department of Health and relevant government.
