On 27 November 2023, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, in collaboration with other government departments, held a public health exercise code-named "Prehnite" to test their preparedness in handling an imported case of plague, and to strengthen the execution and co-ordination abilities of the Department of Health and relevant government departments in response to cases of plague, and enhance awareness among stakeholders on the handling of public health emergencies.
