On 27 June 2018, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health organised a public health exercise code-named SUNSTONE at a newly built residential building. The exercise was aimed at assessing the interoperability of government departments and organisations in response to the detection of a novel disease called “Disease X”.
On 15 November 2018, the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health (DH) held the ground movement exercise code-named ONYX at Wang Tau Hom Maternal and Child Health Centre in Wong Tai Sin, which was aimed at assessing the operability of the DH’s contingency plan for poliomyelitis and the interoperability of relevant government departments and organisations against poliomyelitis.
