World Health Day is celebrated each year on 7 April to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) and to highlight a priority area of global public health concern.
The theme of World Health Day 2020 is “Support Nurses and Midwives”. It will shine a light on the vital role played by nurses and midwives in providing health care around the world, and call for a strengthening of the nursing and midwifery workforce.
